Roll up, poetry people.

It is time for our first Poetry Party of 2021. Everyone welcome!

The full Nottingham Poetry Festival experience will be in spring ‘22, which feels like a long way off right now. So, in the meantime, we’ve decided to feed your poetic appetite with a knees-up at Antenna on Beck Street in Nottingham.

Expect spoken-word performances, an open mic, a live DJ, and a few surprises thrown in for good measure.

Write a collaborative poem, take part in a workshop, win absolutely nothing playing Poetry Bingo and show off your brain cells in the first-ever Nottingham Poetry Festival Quiz, hosted by our chums at UNESCO City of Literature.

We want to know who and what you would like to see at the next festival, so we can celebrate the power of words together as part of an event that belongs to all of us. Meet the Nottingham Poetry Festival team and our new Creative Director Anne Holloway, share your ideas, and reconnect with other creative heads in the city.

Full schedule coming soon.

Poetry Party takes place on Sunday 26 September, 12pm – 8pm, at Antenna, Beck Street, Nottingham.

Register for free via Eventbrite.
