This collective for writers aged 15-25 brings together the emerging spoken word talent of Nottingham and facilitates their development as creatives by providing them with performance opportunities, masterclasses with guest artists, creative writing workshops, and much more. For Nottingham Poetry Festival this year, Speak Easy has partnered up with Bad Betty Press to talk all things publishing: demystifying what it means, where to start and how to know you’re ready.
As well as this one-hour workshop, we will be running our usual collective open mic after the session where we encourage everyone to come along, whether it’s to sit back and watch or get on the stage and feel the support of the poets around you. There’s a space for everyone here at Speak Easy.
