Join Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature for ‘Page Against the Machine’, an international reading event inviting readers of all ages and backgrounds to pick up a book, turn off their phones and settle in for a well-deserved detox read in a beautiful location in their city! Here in Nottingham, we’ll be hosting our event in the picturesque Bromley House Library Garden. Founded in 1816, this Grade II* listed Georgian townhouse is a flourishing independent subscription library tucked away in Nottingham City Centre just off the Old Market Square.

Bring your favourite book, a snack, a drink and enjoy an uninterrupted hour of communal reading with us, or feel free to join in from home by using the hashtag #PageAgainstTheMachine!

(Programmed by Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature in association with Norwich UNESCO City of Literature and The Book Hive. Supported by the UNESCO Cities of Literature Network).
