Creative Director
Heading up the NPF team, developing the organisation, curating the festival and connecting with other arts organisations in the region and beyond.

Anne brings her team building and coaching skills to this phase of Nottingham Poetry Festival’s development. She has been teaching, writing and performing to commission for a decade. She was co-founder of Nottingham’s Mouthy Poets, is founding editor of indie poetry press Big White Shed and has provided leadership for curated poetry events in the city and beyond.

Bea

Bea Udeh

Outreach Manager
Bea will develop relationships, establishing the needs of potential partners. She will manage strategic activity for key outreach projects and lead on Inclusivity Awareness training.

Bea has 20 years portfolio experience including audience development, cultural strategy and small biz development: Project Manager for ERDF programme, Real Creative Futures at NAE, providing creative business development support to start-ups. Bea is a speaker/mentor and ambassador, Bea uses her communication skills and insight of working in aero-engine, media, education, and arts sectors to challenge systemic practices that marginalise voices by raising awareness of infrastructural discrimination and anti-Blackness.

Bridie Squires

Bridie Squires

Learning & Operations Manager
Bridie will devise, project manage and deliver learning activity in community settings, for writers and non-writers. This will include workshops, development opportunities and community participation events.

Bridie is a writer, editor, performance artist and educator from Nottingham. Previously Editor of LeftLion Magazine, she was appointed as Nottingham Trent University’s first Writer in Residence in 2019 and is Founder and Manager of GOBS Collective – a talent development programme for emerging spoken-word artists.

Tommy Rosley

Tommy Rosley (aka Tommy Farmyard)

Events Production Manager
Tommy develops, co-ordinates and project manages our programme of performance events, liaising with venues and performers and connecting with international organisations and artists.

Tommy is an experienced festival and event professional most recently setting up Lush Life festival. He has coordinated & project managed Hockley Hustle festival, Young Hustlers & Green Hustle festival and curates events for TRCH Soundstage Festival. He has been an integral part of Nottingham Poetry Festival since its inception!

Cara

Cara Thompson

Marketing Assistant
Cara is working with the team to build our organisational profile, develop our voice and promote our events. She curates our social media content across all platforms.

Cara is a writer, poet, tea-enthusiast, and self-described “Black Wellness Warrior” born and raised in Nottingham. Born into a lively Jamaican-British family, Cara started writing at the age of 14 in the form of silly short stories and secret songwriting sessions with mates. Since then, Cara has gone on to use poetry to explore her identity and celebrate her Black Caribbean heritage in collaborations with the NHS, Oxfam, Simon and Schuster. She is currently a proud member of the Nottingham based poetry collective ‘GOBS’.
