Young people, young poets! Educated, Elevated, Melanated showcases a collaboration between Nottingham Poetry Festival, 2 Nottingham schools, a teacher of Mathematics and a hip hop promoter. EEM will feature readings from young people who took part in a series of workshops designed to write poems that explore themes of race & culture whilst elevating voices of underrepresented people. There will be an open mic, featured artists and informal writing workshops. Everyone is welcome, but the younger humans amongst us are strongly encouraged to attend. Writing materials and refreshments will be provided.
