Adoption East Midlands: Book of Belonging Launch

14th June | Fisher Gate Point

Adoption East Midlands’ Book of Belonging Launch

What makes a home? How do we belong? These are the questions Adoption East Midlands have asked young writers across the region to think about for a special creative writing project on the themes of ‘home and belonging.’

Teaming up with local author, Jay Sandhu, Adoption East Midlands has put together The Book of Belonging, a powerful and thoughtful collection of poems and short pieces written by young people, reflecting on identity, family, connection and what “home” means to them, which is being launched at Nottingham Poetry Festival.

The Book of Belonging includes a range of voices and perspectives, from heartfelt poetry to reflective prose, all offering personal insights into belonging and lived experience.

Join us at Nottingham Poetry Festival to hear selected readings from the book and to celebrate the launch of this community-based project.

The event is free to attend, and copies of The Book of Belonging will be available to purchase on the night.
