In July 1967 the Sexual Offences Act supposedly decriminalised male homosexual acts in England and Wales. A transformative moment, even if another three-and-a-half decades would pass before complete equality at law was achieved across the UK. Gregory Woods, author of Homintern: How Gay Culture Liberated the Modern World and five poetry collections, will be joined by Rich Goodson, author of the forthcoming book Mr Universe, and Milla Tebbs of Mouthy Poets. They will be marking the 50th anniversary of the Act by reading poetry that reflects upon changes in LGBT lives since then.
