Joe Drinks Wine and Gives Themsleves A Haircut does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a person, stuck in their tiny bathroom, drinking wine and giving themselves a haircut in one unbroken shot for just over 30 minutes. However, we can hear their thoughts while this happens, and the poetry inside their head rolls between the topics of modern life, pollution, the internet, childhood, and anything and everything in between. Written by Nat Henderson and performed by Joe Strickland, you are encouraged to interact with the performance however you want. Watch the footage or just listen to the poetry. Focus on the performance or have it on in the background. The choice is up to you.

Chronic Insanity are an award-winning, Nottingham-based theatre company making work for traditional, found, and digital spaces. They can often be found supporting local artists, pushing the boundaries of what digital theatre can be, and staging at least 12 shows every 12 months.
