Step on board a narrowboat for a relaxing, inspiring and thought-provoking trip along the Nottingham Canal whilst writing and listening to poetry.

Nottingham based poets John Humphreys and Clare Stewart will share some of their work, and reference other writers as you explore and discuss different writing styles together.

The workshop will focus on the theme of water and involve a range of stimulating and engaging exercises to help you develop your poetry writing skills and produce something to take away. There’ll be the opportunity to share some of your work with the group if you wish to.

This event is being run by ArtSpeak, an arts programme for people aged 60+.

The narrowboat is provided by the Nottingham Narrowboat Project.

Wheelchair access is limited, there is space for two standard size manual wheelchairs but unfortunately electric wheelchairs cannot be accommodated.

(organised independently of NPF)
