BBC Upload x We, The Poets | Featuring Mark Grist, Henry Normal and much more!

13th June | Rough Trade

In collaboration with We, The Poets, BBC Upload and Dean Jackson, join us for an afternoon of panel chats, podcasting, performance and jolly good fun.

Have you ever thought about your poetry playing on the radio? are you looking to talk to publishers, podcasters or literature organisations about your work? If so, Rough trade is the place to be this weekend. Across Friday and Saturday we are bringing organisations such as BBC radio, WTP and various others for a round of speed-networking. An opportunity for you to have questions answered, connections made and ideas shared, an unmissable event if you’re looking to take the next step in your poetic career. Friday will see a lineup of some of Nottingham’s most talented poets joined by the very Mr Shay, Leicester’s poet laureate, support our local talent and experience the work of a poet of the highest calibre. Saturday will see a live podcast with Henry Normal and Mark Grist, industry panel from Bad Betty, UNESCO and WTP,  a special live set from Mark Grist…  and of course an open mic. This will be a great opportunity for you to glimpse in to the world of poetry in a way you rarely get a chance to. This is open to poets of all experience and backgrounds, wether you’re just starting but want to know where your ambitions could reach, or you’re a seasoned poet whose ready to take that next step.
