Speech Therapy
5th June | Fisher Gate Point
Speech Therapy is Nottingham’s longest running, often rambling, never still, somehow still standing, spoken word night.
As we edge nearer to our third decade of regular monthly nights we have moved to a new fully accessible home in Fisher Gate Point.
The vibes remain rock n roll, the featured artistes are our present to the world, the list of open mic regulars grows by the month, and the raffle remains sadly full of rammel.
We travel the country sharing the joy and this year has seen us hosting takeovers from many other nights, both local and national (Poetry Scum, Free Minds and Poetical Outlaws to name but a few!).
Our featured poets for June 2026 are the brilliant DK from Accessibility Arts , Robert Punton from Poets Against Racism and Heather Moulson whose set we loved at Morecambe Poetry Festival 2025 we bougjt her company.
The night remains FREE as part of our accessibility agenda but we strongly encourage cash donations to help cover the costs of the room hire and our lovely featured artistes. We remain a notoriously late finisher so if you are attending other festival events that night, ask your Uber Pumpkin Carriage Driver to swing by Fisher Gate Point to ensure you go home with a poem in your heart and your soul.
