Slam-o-vision

Slam-o-Vision is spoken word’s answer to Eurovision – a Global Poetry Slam between spoken word artists from UNESCO Cities of Literature

Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature is offering a prize of £300 to the poet who represents our city at Slam-o-Vision 2021.

If you live, work or study in Nottingham and are over 18 you are eligible to apply.

  • Entries must be received by Midnight, Sunday 26th September 2021
  • Your poem can be on any topic or theme
  • Your poem must be a maximum of 3 minutes in length
  • Your poem must have no music or accompaniment
  • You must not use any props or costumes
  • Your poem can be performed in any language

EMAIL: Please make sure you include your name and contact email in the body of the email and confirm that you live, work or study in Nottingham – and that if your poem wins, you’re happy for it to appear on the Slam-o-Vision website for the grand final of the competition.

Judges will score the entries and select one video to be entered into the final.

Slam-o-Vision 2021 will be live streamed from Manchester in November, hosted jointly by Quebec City and Manchester (the joint winners in 2020).
